The male rottweiler is larger than the female and should always denote strength. He should have heavy bone and frame, excellent muscle substance, and a powerful, unmistakable headpiece. His power and substance should still promote smooth, fluid movement. His character should be just as present as his physical substance. He should have high confidence and courage, good drive, a desire to work, and high intelligence. A balanced character is a must niether overly aggressive nor under temperamented and skiddish. At Guardian Rottweiler, we fully understand the role the male rottweiler plays in our breeding program. Every single male we use in our breeding program has been hand selected based on pedigree, health, confirmation and most importantly, temperament. They have been chosen to compliment our females and ensure that the very best is brought out of each parent in each breeding. The only way we can have here in the US the same quality of rottweiler in health, confirmation and character that Germany holds sacred, is through selective breeding. We hope that every generation we produce is even better than the generation before it.
