This gorgeous boy is named after his great Uncle and one of my most favorite Isis’ sons, Guardian Ikon von Gottschalk! Ikon and his brother, Ice, were know by those who new them as, “the marshmallow twins” because of their sticky sweet personalities <3 They were both always down for some loves and couldn’t get enough affection. Both brothers went on to title quite well in show with the training of Hans Schiltkamp in Holland and the handling of Uros Golubovic from Serbia. Ikon’s reach went even further as he is the gorgeous male on the front of the “Rottweiler” formula of Royal Canin Dog food! Although we feed raw, I was honored to have my beautiful babies requested to represent this breed as far too many “Rottweiler” products have such poor representation from a correct Rottweiler. My only stipulation with doing the photoshoot was that the tail must be shown on both the pup and adult as this is an international dog food and I thought a great platform to hail the tail! Icon has some incredibly big paws to fill, but I know he is up to the task <3
Icon is an outstanding representative of the breed inside and out. His overall conformation is everything I could have hoped for in this breeding, taking my favorite aspects from both bloodlines. He has a very short coat with rich color and very well defined markings. Excellent top and bottom lines and great front and rear assemblies. His tail is correctly set and carried, further highlighting his perfect topline. Beautiful, fluid movement with good reach. He holds his frame nicely, especially given his very young age. Ikon, much like his namesake, has a head that enters the room before he does! Very heavy topskull, deep stop and short muzzle. He has a correct bite and dark mouth pigment with black lips. Icon has excellent fill in the zygomatic arches and dark eyes. Headytpe is a great mix of his pedigree, but I especially see Aron and Carla. Temperament is on par with his siblings- happy, cannot get enough loves, and quite biddable.
