The name Isabel is a Spanish variant of the name Elizabeth. The name means, “God is my oath”; “God is perfection”; or “pledged to God.” The name was given to 2 Spanish ruling queens, including Isabel of Castile, who sponsored the explorations of Christopher Columbus.
Our little Isabel is definitely ready to rule as the queen of hearts! She is contagiously happy, loves to love, and is very precocious. Although not as intense as her baby sister, Indira, miss Isabel definitely sports a personality bigger than she is. She holds her own quite well with 4 behemoth brothers and reminds me very much of the little white kitten from Aristocats (Marie). Isabel absolutely knows she is adorable! She is a compact female with very clean mahogany markings. Isabel has a very typey head, second only to her baby sister, Indira. She has a heavy topskull, deep stop and very short muzzle. Isabel has a correct puppy bite and dark mouth pigment. Her ears are correctly set, but could be carried closer to her face. This is a typical “Mambo ear”- a smaller ear that, especially at this age, just doesn’t have the weight to pull into position completely. It is unfair to assess her size in comparison to her mammoth brothers, but I believe both of the girls in this litter will take more after their great, great, great grandmother, PLinda as well as their great grandmother on Walter’s side, Carla, and be built very compact, well muscled with very harmonious anatomy. I am leaving Isabel’s registration open for now.
