I found a couple awesome meaning of the name Kavik (Qavik). In Sanskrit, it means “poet” or “one who is skilled in language.” In Inuit language, Kavik means “wolverine” or “little wolverine” and is meant to reflect qualities of strength and resilience with some interpretations suggesting Kavik means, “strong and fearless like a wolverine.” So apparently, we have a poetic wolverine 😉
When it came to picking his song, Wolverine made me think of X-Men and X-Men made me think of one of my favorite scenes where Quicksilver saves everyone from impending doom in Quicksilver fashion. It is fantastic and I highly recommend looking the clip up on youtube if you have never seen it!
On to our Qavik. Much like his brother, it is impossible to miss Gubal’s influence on head type and overall build. Qavik has a very powerful head with a heavy topskull. His ears are perfectly set and carried, giving even more width to his pumpkin head. Qavik has a short muzzle and deep stop with black lips and mouth pigment. He has good fill in the zygomatic arches and very dark eyes. Qavik is a beefcake with excellent bone and substance and a hearty build. Much like his siblings, overall conformation is outstanding and his topline is just perfection. I am truly so proud of this litter! Qavik has a short coat with very well defined markings that are a beautiful mahogany. His character and temperament are everything I expected from this pedigree- 3 generations of Service dogs in mom’s pedigree + the loveable teddy bear Gubal + the Great Odin! He is happy, eager to please and cannot get enough of his peoples. Qavik is our pick of the litter male and will come with FULL REGISTRATION.
