The importance of the female is tragically under-rated all too often. Breeders mistakenly believe that any bitch bred to a proven stud will produce excellent offspring. However, as we all learned in biology 101, the female contributes at least half of the genetic makeup of the puppy. So it is equally important, and sometimes even more, that the dam of the puppies have the qualities you desire in your offspring. We have put over a decade of our lives into breeding and producing females that will rival most males. We strive for heavy bone, extra muscle substance, and powerful heads. We hear almost daily, “HE is gorgeous” when they are talking about one of our ladies! Gorgeous girls alone are not sufficient criteria in determining our breeding females. Character is just as inheritable as physical beauty. We look for intelligent, biddable females that are naturally nurturing. Every female we use in our breeding program was chosen specifically for the conformation, temperament, health and bloodlines.
