Hey Alice hope all is well with you and the family.

Just wanting to give you updates.

We lost our Bullmastiff Gracye 7/12. Gracye I got from a patient when she was 5 months old living outside in a 5×5 kennel. Her MS had gotten to the point she could no longer care for her.

She’s had kidney disease since she was a pup. Three weeks before her 12th birthday. Baby girl was playing laser with the pups two nights before.

Two weeks before Gracye passed Makenzye got Leptospirosis

. The vet said if I didn’t know our pups like I do and waited a couple more days it would have been really bad. She is doing amazing.

The pups had been missing Gracye I’m assuming. Not playing kinda mopey. Finally playing and being their crazy pup selves.

Sending a couple of pictures and a really quick video of one of the first days of them playing again. Titus being the ultimate little brother. Oh and I got Titus Rex Specs! Ordering some for the rest.

Thank you again for our amazing pups. Life is so much better with them in our lives.

“Cherry” Guardian Havana Von Gottschalk
Hi Alice, I hope you are doing well and your trip was fun and successful. I thought I’d write to let you know how Cherry (Havana) is doing.

My son and I arrived at the airport about 40 mins early and somehow Miguel was able to sneak past us. She did great going back to the hotel and settled in nicely for the car ride home. She lasted about 3 mins before she decided it was time to pee. No worries though, a quick stop and we were back on the road with no more accidents.

I took her to our vet the next day. I even brought a stool sample. He complimented how well behaved she was during the examination and said a majority of the rottweiler’s he is seeing around her age are already showing signs of a poor temperament. She was giving plenty of kisses and was calm when he trimmed her toenails. My vet did tell me Cherry had Coccidia. He said she probably got it from eating dirt, which she tries to do here all the time. She’s on meds for that now. I took her back to the vets yesterday for her 12 week shots.

She also had a touch of diarrhea. I figured the move and new food had everything to do with that. I started to give her plain vanilla yogurt and pumpkin and it’s much better now.

She took to her crate very quickly. My daughter slept in front of it the first night. After that, she does not cry at all when she is inside. We are still letting her out every 3 hours at night and she is doing great with the potty training.

She is getting along well with our two Yorkies. They’re not sure what to do with her yet, but leave her alone. The local rottweiler club had a picnic and we brought Cherry. It was at one of the board members houses. They are babysitting a 15 week old Rhodesian Ridgeback. Cherry was very hesitant to play with him at first, but the puppy was persistent. Within about 30 mins, they were bff’s. She is also a little hesitant with people when we walk around our cul deck sac. I started to bring treats and have my neighbors give her treats. This is helping.

Hi Alice,

I hope you had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Hopefully 2018 was great for you and your family and 2019 will be even better. I was just on your website and saw the awesome pups from the P litter. My favorite part of your website is when you post photos and descriptions of the puppies. It always makes my day.

Just an update on Cherry (Havana). She is doing great. Cherry has a ton of energy and is great with everyone. She is getting so big and is such a love bug. She has finished her puppy class and basic obedience. We will start tracking and herding in a few months. We took her to the vet yesterday for some socialization and had her weighed. She’s 75 pounds and looks great.

We take her on at least one 2 mile walk a day. 3-4 times a week she will go on two long walks a day. She is great on a leash and loves to meet new dogs and people on our walks. We also take her to a very friendly dog park at least once a week, until about two weeks ago. The last time we took her, she had all the male dogs very interested. One “neutered” dog in particular mounted her and would not get off her until I had to pull him off. The other male dogs harassed her and we ended up leaving for everyone’s benefit. I figured she was going into her first heat. I read up on the signs and symptoms and I think she was in the first phase. We have the doggie diapers ready, but we haven’t seen any red discharge yet.

I attached a photo of Cherry and my two kids. She loves to drive around in the back of the Jeep with her doggles on. Lots of people take pictures/video of her and tell us how great she looks.

Happy Halloween Alice,

I hope you and your are doing well. I was just on your page and saw the new dogs you recently got. They all look great and I can’t wait to see what they produce.

D-Cep and Cherry are doing great. D-Cep finished basic obedience a month or so ago and did very well. I’m biased, but I think he did the best. He is very calm and just goes with the flow. He is already a very big boy. I can’t believe he is only 7 months old. The Vet loves him and normally keeps him inside a little longer to get some extra kisses from him. They are always smiling and giggling when they bring him out to us and tell me how great he is.

Cherry is amazing. Having D-Cep around has really helped with her confidence. I take them on walks twice a day now and they are pretty popular around here.

I haven’t sent any pics lately so here are a few so you can see how they’re doing.

Hi Alice,

Well thank the Lord we made it through 2020 fairly unscathed. We are all looking forward to what opportunities and challenges 2021 brings our way. Both Cherry and D-Cep (9 months) are doing great. Took a nice hike this morning and snapped these pictures on the trail.

I hope you guys are doing great and can’t wait to see what amazing puppies you produce this year.

Also, I always enjoyed the pupdates and miss them a lot. It’s almost worth the deposit to still be on the list and get those emails.

Just wanted to let you know he has been a great puppy. Loves his new bed. Listens to commands. I put a bell up for potty time and he rings the bell already every time when he needs to go out. Sits on command. Plays fetch, loves taking walks. Couldnt ask for a better addition to my family. Thank you again.

Also, I was wondering if you could recommend an insurance company for medical for him.
